You can use it on a phone or tablet, or anything with a flat surface to adhere to. I recommend using a case with this adapter but it can be used width or without one.

When adhering to your device, use firm pressure for 20 to 30 seconds and wait AT LEAST 12 hours before using the adapter to allow the adhesive to bond to the surface. It reaches 80% bond strength after 12 hours, 95% after 24 hours and 100% after 72 hours.
