A stunning fine opal and 22ct gold antique ring. Dating from the Edwardian period. this ring has a beautiful cabochon cut solid opal displaying a range of colours from blue to vibrant green and violets with red flashes to its belly. The cabochon opal has been masterfully bezel set, with fine bead detailing. The geometric cross over setting and band are a rich buttery yellow gold.


Marks: full UK hallmarks for 22ct gold, the Birmingham assay office, the date letter for 1901 and the maker’s mark ‘S.B’.


Approximate Dimensions: a UK size Q 1/2, the setting at the front at its widest measures 1cm and the opal cabochon has a diameter of 6mm. The ring weighs 3 grams.


Condition: Very good antique condition, a little wear but no damage of note. It will be sent in a new box, ideal for gifting and safekeeping.
