This CD is an extremely RARE and NOSTALGIC addition to our archives and features the voices of boys never issued before on CD. Listen to the sound of boys trained in traditional Head Tone, including an excellent 'Hear my Prayer' sung by Master John Dove.

 This is to accompany The Better Land series of Boy Soprano CD's in six volumes and features some boys who were not featured in that series, including the excellent James Phelan.  

Marvel at the sound of 4000 boy sopranos and men singing, conducted by the then Dr. Sydney Nicholson - Organist Dr. Bullock.

The sound is very good, and much of the surface noise has been removed.  These boys deserve to be heard again.  The head-tone of the boys is excellent, with warm vibrato, which will be very nostalgic to those who appreciate entirely traditional English boy soprano singing.

          The recording of Graham Payn is an especial rarity as the voice is unattributed but now identified as his.
