This Tanzania PEABERRY Coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Killiminjaro in the Mbya region. The Mbya region consists of roughly 10,000 smallholder farmers that own, on average, 500 trees each. Many practice subsistence farming methods and all their coffee is handpicked. Peaberry coffees are rare, as only 5% or less of crops develop the single peaberry bean inside the cherry with the concentrated flavor that the peaberries are known for.
