For sale a PCL86 (14GW8) triode pentode audio amplifier / output valve / vacuum tube by Edicron, new in original box and recently fully tested and working at 100% emission on both sections.

The PCL86 was highly successful in use as the sound stage valve in numerous 1960s TV set designs. It is half of an ECC83 triode and an EL84 in the same envelope with a 0.3A series heater.

A good chance to acquire a guaranteed, new and working device at a sensible price for a tested item. Of interest to set restorers, audio experimenters etc.

Tip for running heater: The 13.3 volt heater can be run from a standard 12.6 volt transformer, even better if you can add a couple of overturns.

Normally I wouldn't list such common TV type valves, but several customers have asked me to provide a reliable supply of such tested items, so here goes. But I can't sell them for 99p, as to test and select good working items that are some 60 years old takes time, care, equipment and knowledge.

Believe it or not, some evil people have tried to send us back their dud tubes to try and get a full refund for a perfectly good tube we have just sold them! So, refund is a genuine offer, but at our discretion that we have been sent back what we actually sold you in the first place and that you haven't destroyed it through misuse! All returns under guarantee are limited to within 21 days of shipping.
