This is an excellent colourful Art Deco Burleigh Ware Parrot jug.
The handle is in the form of a parrot.
The body is painted with a tropical tree.

This is one of a range of similar hand painted jugs with themed handles.
It was made by in the c.1930s by Burgess & Leigh Pottery of Middleport, Stoke-on Trent.

The jug stands 7½ inches tall.

The base has a Burleigh Ware printed backstamp.

There are a couple of small areas of paint loss as shown.
The jug is otherwise in very good condition with no damage or restoration.
