Vintage 1960s Mono Lily London Black Velvet Full Length Opera Coat

A beautifully cut, full length coat in a lovely quality black velvet. This is so evocative of the British fashion of the 1960's era and yet still completely wearable today. The Peter Pan collar and front pocket flaps are trimmed with textured ribbon and unique jet buttons. The 4 flap front pockets are for show in order to maintain the fitted silhouette. The real pockets are actually cleverly hidden in the seams on either side. It has lovely attention to detail, including an addition popper fastening to hold the collar properly in place and a ribbon tie inside to keep the coat together even with the buttons are undone, it is fully lined and yet lightweight.

It's impossible to capture this coat in all its glory with a camera, the photos really don't do it justice. The velvet is such a deep black Ive had to adjust to the colour on the photos to try and match it.

In Excellent Vintage Condition, no stains, rips, or signs of repair. Just needs a good steam to get out the creases from storage.
