This Listing is for a Marantz Model 5400 Stereo Cassette Deck
Vintage Tape Deck from the 1970's Made in Japan
As noted below, the Left Channel is not producing a signal

* MPX Filter with On/Off Limiter Control Button
* In and Left/ Right Panpot system controls
* Hinged leg on the bottom that allows the Deck to be elevated at the rear

CONDITION

- The Cassette Deck Powers-On and will play a tape
- The VU Meters and Indicator Lights illuminate properly
- The Tape Eject, Play, Rewind, Fast Forward, Stop and Pause Controls operate properly
- I have not tested the Record functions and do not know if they work properly
- The Memory Counter operates
- The Left Channel audio is not operating - A signal is not produced through the VU Meter nor into audio headphones
- The Master Level Slider Control operates
- The Microphone and Line Level controls, along with the Panpot System have not been tested
- The Cassette Deck Cabinet has some scratches and a chip at the right rear
- There are a couple of scratches on the VU Meter plastic panel
