Available here are a pair of vintage Ross Walkie Talkies, quality built in Japan, in very clean original condition.  I have owned them since they were new. The cabinets have a few hardly noticeable marks on them as you would expect to see on vintage equipment, but are in very good condition as pictured.  They also have leatherette safety carrying straps as shown. Their antennas (pictured) are in like-new condition and must be extended fully for best functionality. These walkie talkies operate on standard 9 volt batteries and were tested in my home and confirmed to be functioning as they were in the ‘60s when they were built, except that one of the units only receives the transmission from the other unit, but does not transmit.  The crystal in each unit has "27075" printed on it (27 MHz range), so they would be compatible with other walkie talkies using that frequency. They have a call feature which allows the sending transmitter to emit a high pitched “call” notice heard on the receiving transmitter when the person using the “call” function wants to call attention to the person who potentially could receive a future voice transmission.  The “call” switch on the sending transmitter must be in the “on” position when using the “call” function and switched to the “off” position when keying the transmitter key to send a voice signal.  Please note that when tested, the unit which transmits a signal transmitted and received well, within the confines of the home in which it was tested. It should also be noted that their functionality is dependent on the freshness of the installed 9 volt batteries.  Please note that these walkie talkies are vintage toy units and their functionality expectation should be consistent with these qualities. They will be well packaged in their original molded Styrofoam for safe shipment to you.
