USED speaker parts

Rear magnet cap for a Celestion G18 greenback speaker.

Total 3, you are buying all 3.

The caps are made of some sort of tinplate and measure about 8 inches across.

One is in reasonably good condition, the other two exhibit a variety of dents and scratches.  All three have damage to the paper sticker.  Three short countersunk screws are included for fixing in place to the back of the speaker magnet assembly via the central hole.  There is one washer which goes between the magnet and the cap when fixing with the screw.  This was only present on one of the speakers - the other two had lost theirs.

The speakers that these were removed from have now been destroyed - these caps are all that is left.

£15, postage is free.

These caps were removed from the back of 18 inch speakers - they will not fit a 12 inch speaker.

The item can be collected from Dalston in East London, E8 postcode.

Please inspect the photos carefully.

If there is anything on the item you are unsure about then email me and I will try my best to give an answer.

Best to email before the last day of the auction.  I tend to do my ebay stuff later in the evening after work, so you might not get an immediate reply to questions.

If anyone wants to come and inspect the item before placing a bid then email me in good time and I will try to arrange something.

Please read the description carefully and take time to study the photos.  I try to be accurate in my description and make a note of any issues, so take a look and be sure you want the item before placing a bid.  I can say for definite that I am one of the few people on ebay who bother to do this.  From my own experience as a buyer I can say that the vast majority of items I have bought from ebay have had something or other wrong with them and the seller has not mentioned this in the listing.  Sometimes the faults are serious.  If there is some issue on the item above then I would have found it and pointed it out.  Though I think if we are talking about the odd bit of wear and tear, then it's fair to judge that alongside the age of the item, and what can be expected.  So do take a look at the photos, if I am saying something like 'general wear and tear for it's age'.

Most of the items I sell were at one time costly to buy new.  A lot of it is real cool stuff and still in demand in the right places.  However, I have a family and a job working long hours, and I don't have the time to go off and bring these treasures to the right market place.  I just sell them on ebay hoping that they will find a good home and I could recoup some money to help with the bills each month.

However, there are people out there who are just not satisfied with what they've got.  I really don't want to have to deal with returns, so be absolutely sure that the item above is something you definitely want to own.  And if it's something like an amplifier by the Acoustic Control Corporation that cost $900 in 1978, and you got it off me for 40 quid, then I will think you are an absolute mug if you start emailing me and saying you changed your mind.  And you will probably end up in my banned list.

I am slowly getting rid of things that I had stored in a studio space that I had up until eight years ago.  I make sure they are in good working condition before I let them go, and when I have put some effort into restoring them I don't want to find out that they have been bust by the buyer.  So be sure you know how to use the thing before plugging it in.
