This deluxe, slip-cased 1st edition of The Art of Dr. Seuss (2002) was limited to only 850 copies, each individually numbered. (The regular edition did not have a slipcase, certificate of authenticity, etc.) 
The only way to obtain this limited edition was to purchase one of 850 signed Dr. Seuss serigraphs for several thousand dollars. Serigraph is NOT included with this book.

The standard edition is also sold out at the publisher.

This definitive volume chronicles the life and career of Dr. Seuss.  It includes nearly 200 pages highlighting the common artistic link throughout Seuss’s life, from his early Horton drawings at Dartmouth College, through his editorial, advertising, military, and book illustrations, and finally his Secret Art collection.

This major monograph includes material from Dr. Seuss’s first retrospective museum exhibition at the San Diego Museum of Art - work kept privately in his own family archive, as well as material from the Dr. Seuss Archives at the University of California, San Diego.

Each slip-cased book is individually numbered and accompanies a matching number serigraph of Dr. Seuss’s Singing Cats, which is NOT INCLUDED with this book.
