BLACK BOOK TWICE is a limited edition publication. Only 350 copies and 8 artist’s proofs were produced, published by Sebastien Girard.
This book is a variant bootleg of Christopher Wool’s iconic Black Bookedition #75/350. In Girard’s version, each of the 17 paintings is printed twice (recto & verso), forming new double spread word combinations. The title Twice also suggests a second edition of one of Wool’s most sought-after publications. The book is presented in a black bag, a nod to the black blank covers of Wool’s original BLACK BOOK, published in 1989 by Thea Westreich (New York) and Gisella Capitain (Cologne). Unsigned and unumbered by Wool.
XL size publication, risograph printed 41.4 x 32.7 cm (16.3 x 12.8 in) 40 pages, sewn bound edition of 350 copies + 8 APs Unsigned and unumbered by Wool.
