Book Hardcover. In Freedom's Footsteps by Charles H. Wesley for the International Library of Negro Life and History 1968. The series follows the African American experience from early plantation life to the abolition movement of slavery 1619-1959. Its illustrations are coveted, rare and unique for a book from the 1960s and its extensive Bibliography is Priceless...I could rip out the biblio and sell each for a few ducats apiece to newer students but then I'd devalue the book....there are some condition issues starting on the inside cover sheets where a young lad had fun with pencil...cover too...but 96% of the pages are fine...the spine in great shape but spine top and bottom are a bit frayed...it does not take away from the reading/handling experience. Enjoy!
