The iRad 1000/1 High Voltage Multimeter Adapter Box is an extremely accurate and high quality 1 GigaOhm 1% resistance device, that when used in combination with your Multimeter, allows the measurement of High Voltages at a 1000 to 1 ratio with excellent accuracy (as measured on your multimeters standard voltage scale). This is the perfect item to measure the HV on your Survey Meter or other low energy High Voltage devices. Don’t burn out that expensive GM or Scintillator probe by guessing at the voltages. Even if you have a multimeter that reads 1000 volts or higher, don’t try to use it alone without one of these adapters, as your HV reading will most likely not be accurate. Your multimeter will likely read well under the actual voltage if it reads at all, and of course, you risk damage to your multimeter if you try to read voltages higher than it is rated for. Each adapter box leaves my lab calibrated and tested to 2000 volts (but not recomended for use over 1500V).

The iRad 1000/1 High Voltage Multimeter Adapter is complete with an adjustable calibration pot accessible through a small opening near the DVM connector. It comes calibrated for most common digital and analog voltmeters with 10meg input impedance, but is capable of calibration to other input impedances, or future recalibration if necessary. 

This listing is for a High Voltage Multimeter Adapter with two SHV connectors for the HV line, and Banana Connectors for your DVM Multimeter. I can provide a BNC connector instead of the banana connectors for the DVM at no change in cost, or provide different connectors for the HV / Signal lines for a small increase in cost, please inquire before purchase.

The 1000/1 High Voltage Multimeter Adapter is designed to extend the voltage measuring capability of an AC/DC voltmeter to greater than the typical 1000 Volt range of a high end DVM. The 1000/1 Adapter should only be used to make measurements on energy limited circuits within equipment such as found in battery operated survey meters. DO NOT use this device to measure high voltages on power distribution systems. The High Voltage DVM Multimeter Adapter provides high accuracy when used with a voltmeter having 10 MegOhm input impedance (the adapter itself has a high quality 1 GigaOhm 1% resistor network).
