Unfortunately, this rare treasure has some VERY clearly visible wear!
The wear is EXTENSIVE/SUBSTANTIAL and should be carefully examined/considered BEFOE buying.
Some general/shelf/age wear along with...
Creases/scuffing/marks/wear to the spine/corners/boards. Most noticeable near/along the edges with large, sporadic marks on both the front and rear boards.
Marks/wear to the edge/fore pages.
Creases/marks/scuffing/rips/wear to the pages. Varying in size and severity and very clearly visible.
Wear to the binding. While the binding is still holding, one can clearly see some pulling away/fraying resulting in a loose/shaky feel. The binding has considerable scuffing/rips/wear and should be handled with care.
Internal writing. There is a previous owner name, written pen and located on the title page. There are also some partially erased marks on the second page. Both pages have been closely photographed for your consideration.
Some detached pages. This is, in our opinion, the most unfortunate and egregious wear affecting this book. Numerous pages are completely detached from the book! Quite a few pages have become fully separated from the book and are loose. Those loose/separated pages have been placed inside the book but we photographed them separate from the book in an effort to fully convey the extent of the wear.
All of the wear is VERY clearly visible!
We tend to grade the condition of our books rather harshly and took into consideration any and all wear when determining the value of this rare book.
Our VERY LOW asking price is a reflection of that consideration and if this copy was in better condition our asking price would be considerably higher.
We purposely and closely photographed what we consider to be the most obvious and egregious wear.
Once again, we want to reiterate that the wear is VERY clearly visible!
Due to the severity of the wear, this wonderful book should be viewed only as a lovely reading copy and/or an elegant display piece.
We would not suggest one purchases this copy for investment purposes. While still a collectible copy due to its' age and rarity, the massive amount of wear greatly affects its' value.
