The Double Tahitian Gardenia (Gardenia titensis) is a dense, bushy growing tropical flowering shrub widely cultivated in Tahiti but native to French Polynesia.

Blooms are large, intensely fragrant, pinwheel-shaped, doubles in creamy white. It is also commonly known as Tiare Flower and Vietnamese Gardenia. It is a culturally significant flower used for crowns, leis, and other decorations for ceremonies and celebrations.

It is a fast grower and can reach heights of 10 to 20 feet, but can be maintained lower as a hedge or large specimen. Tahitian Gardenia generally blooms when young, but may take a little time to acclimate before producing the first flowers. Once established, it flowers readily throughout the warm season.

Gardenias generally do not do well as houseplants, and this one is no exception. It can be indoors for brief periods to enjoy the fragrant flowers but should be returned to an outdoors shortly. However, it can be grown in large outdoor garden pots indefinitely.

It is stongly recommend that you do not plant into giant pots upon arrival.

If you are buying more than one plant there is no need to wait for an invoice to be sent. Just place everything in your cart and pay through your cart. Some of our items ship for free while others there is a shipping charge. So if you are buying different plants and some have a shipping charge your will automatically get the shipping discount when you pay through your cart. There are no discounts for items that have FREE shipping. No shipping discount will be give for items with shipping cost if paid for individually! In order to get the shipping discount for items that have a shipping cost they MUST BE PAID FOR TOGETHER using your cart!!!

NOTICE: If your plant arrives badly damaged I will need photo proof within 24 hours of delivery. I will need photos of the box and the plant in order to send out a replacement. A leaf that comes off during shipment or minor branch breakage does not constitute serious damage. I will only replace the plant if it is badly broken, crushed, or dead on arrival. Some wilting and/or yellowing of leaves or leaf lose it normal.

 We are inspected by the state of Mississippi Agriculture Dept. 

We routinely spray our plants with insecticides and fungicides as preventive measures. 

WARNING: Always retrieve packages from the mail as soon as it is delivered. If left in a mailbox during freezing temps it will kill the plant(s). If left in mailbox during extreme heat it will kill the plant(s), It is the buyers responsibility to track the package and get it as soon as it is delivered. Tracking information automatically uploads so buyer is able to see exactly what day there package will arrive. So buyers please make sure that you are going to be able to get your package as soon as it arrives. Seller not responsible for plants that are dead due to being left out in the mailbox in extreme heat or cold.

We are in the greenhouses working the rest of the time. Growing and caring for these plants is very time consuming so that is where the bulk of our time is spent.
