GRADING: More of an art than a science. The majority of my books are older and out of print titles - mostly children and juvenile. Sorry, they just do not look new anymore and they will have inherent defects. Age should be taken into consideration. Here are my guidelines:

Fine: Like new with little or no use. Will show some use in older books

Very Good: Average used book. Light shelf wear and use. Any significant flaws will be noted

Good: Used and worn copy. Will show wear to binding and interior. May be ex-lib (will be stated) or have writing. Defects will be noted. This is not a high grade. Not for gifts.

Fair/Reading Copy: Can still be read and enjoyed. Faulty copy. Usually offered because it is a scarce or significant title. Heavy wear both externally and internally. May be repaired. Text will be complete but may be missing preliminary pages or plates.
