Removed from a 1995 Chevrolet K1500

This PCM will fit many vehicles. But only after you change the PROM (or chip) that is located under the two bolt hatch on top of the ECU. The PROM is what holds the vehicle specific programming so you must reuse your PROM.  It is very simple! Remove the two bolts off of the top cover on the ECU and install the PROM chip from your vehicles original ECU. In other words, you can't simply swap a used ECM from one vehicle to the next unless you replace the PROM (also known as chip) with the one from your vehicle. Or you could possibly have the included PROM reprogrammed to your vehicles VIN if your original PROM is bad. It is easier and much less expensive to just swap the original PROM into your purchased ECM.
