Has a lovely Christmas season wreath surrounded by snowy branches on the cover. Twenty full page illustrations, with front piece by artist John J. Enneking, illustrations by Howard Pyle, E.H.Garrett, and photographs by Herbert W.Gleason..whose photos from nature are unsurpassed. Cover with interior decorations by Adrian J.Iorio. Book has either an illustration or color decoration on every page. The author John Greenleaf Whittier dedicates the poem "TO THE HOUSEHOLD IT DESCRIBES".
Book is in very good condition. Some average wear to the cover edge from bookshelf storage. Spine remains strong..thick glossy pages are clean and clear, no writing or soil. Book is approx. 7 inches across and 10 in. tall. 96 pages. Gorgeous book for a winter mantle or library display shelf.
