Marshall Master Lead Combo with two large Celestion Blackback speakers inside.

Powers up, and both speakers work.

Have plugged a Guitar into it and it’s works sound isn’t brilliant and there is lots crackling. Sound is uneven when you adjust volumes and gains

There are some breaks in the “Marshall” name on front and a burr on the last “L”

Three inputs on front right, sound is best from the middle input. When I first plugged it into it in the normal and bright inputs I was picking up radio signals which is maybe due to guitar cable I was using or there may be earthing issues within the unit.

Two large 12” Celestion Blackback speakers inside. Some heavy dust on speakers and age related corrosion. Cones good.

stamped on the chassis on left speaker is T1632 and EM24 ( though the E looks liked an F)

stamped on the chassis on right speaker is T1632 and EM14

According to Celestion website that dates left speaker 24 May 1979 and the right one as 14 May 1979

Speakers are 8 ohms

Model number 2199

Serial number on a small metal plaque on rear A20273

Made in England

Speaker cab is very grubby, it’s over 40 years old and hasn’t been stored particularly well. There is tears in the covering and it is quite dirty, have cleaned it a bit but it’s still very grubby.

“Middle” knob is missing it’s metal top, see photos

Net material on the front is good condition with some white marks and some creases/ dents

Rust to metal work on ends of top handle and on tops of screws and their washers. Handle is still good and strong.

UK Power lead into unit is a kettle lead that plugs into the underside of amp unit.

Amp measures 74cm across the front x 60.5cm high ( a little more if you include the handle ) x 24cm deep at widest point.

Spares repairs only as needs some restoration/ servicing to clean up the sound

Large and heavy, collection in person recommended, will ship but it will be expensive
