This is a nice original WWI American haversack with original belt both dated 1918

Haversack- the haversack is complete with no missing pieces or rips. The haversack is stained all over as seen in photos from heavy use during the war. There are initials of the soldier that once wore this during the war by the straps on the inner portion of the sack. The sack was manufactured by Rock island arsenal and dated 1918. All clips and buckles remain intact with signs of wear and some corrosion on the metallic parts but nothing serious.

Belt- the belt I believe was from another set and paired up with the haversack because there is different hand writing on the belt. The belt has the letters and numbers Co. B. 315 .M.P. Written on it. The belt is also dated 1918 and manufactured by the Russell company which marked its logo on two pouch flaps and center of the belt. The belt is faded and stained from use during the war but there are no rips or tears. The metal holes or eyelets have some wear and oxidation forming but nothing serious. All pouch clips work and show little to no wear

This would make a great addition to collection!
