Here for sale is an ALL ORIGINAL rare collectors 1988, Seiko Dolce "Tank" Mens Quartz watch, 5E31-5A40 with a stunning patterned Silver dial and on its original Gold and Silver Dolce bracelet.
This watch is currently NOT working.
During the mid-1980s, Seiko introduced the “Dolce” collection, running parallel to their Grand Quartz line. This line boasted high-precision quartz movements, forming the basis for the modern “Grand Seiko” we are familiar with today.
The Seiko DOLCE collection was the brand's response to the growing demand for stylish and affordable dress watches. Seiko combined high-precision timekeeping with elegant style to create a collection that perfectly represents the sophisticated lifestyles of men and women.
This is small sized mens watch but carries some real elegance when on wrist.
This watch was manufactured in September 1988 the watch has the super slim, 5E31 movement that as mentioned above, is not currently working for an unknown reason.
As you can see from the pictures the dial work is superb, truly a high end watch. It has a beautiful Silver patterned dial that looks stunning - especially in the light. You can see how it catches it and changes dependant on the angle you're at. Has some beautiful sparkle detail too.
Looks superb.
The all Gold hands and hour markers look super classy and give a great look.
The original flat Sapphire crystal is perfect with no marks or scratches.
The super slim case is only 5mm thick and is also lovely.
Some light vintage wear but still looks great.
The bracelet is beautiful with Gold and Silver links that perfectly tie in with the case.
This one has the Black Onyx stone that is set inside the crown which is one of the Dolce features.
A beautiful example for its age. All genuine, nice and tidy, sharp lines.
Originality:
Completely genuine inside and out. UNPOLISHED, un-restored, un-repaired.
Movement:
The watch houses the 5E31 Seiko Quartz movement. Currently NOT working.
Movement looks clean.
Strap:
The watch comes on its original integrated woven stainless steel bracelet. Will fit a wrist of 7 inches approx.
