GRAND FUNK We’re an
American Band
hails from 2010 and is a SEALED limited edition and numbered 24 KT Gold
CD. With their eighth album, the band
Grand Funk dropped the name Railroad and had Todd Rundgren produce a much
catchier album than the seven predecessors. With Don Brewer as singer alongside
Mark Farner, the pace was much faster and with the title song "We're an
American Band" the touring band had their first number one hit in the USA.
While the critics had little use for this album either , the fans went into a
storm of enthusiasm and a concert at Grand Funk Railroad may not have been
demanding, but it was sweaty.
The
Audio Fidelity Re-Issue had to be postponed several times during the production
process because of small things like master tapes that couldn't be found,
missing photo licenses for the photo of the naked band on the hay bales
decorated with American flags or the artist's approval for the booklet with a
gold design. After the release date was postponed several times, the CD
pressing plant finally had to put in an extra shift for the production of Gold
CDs so that Audio Fidelity could somehow adhere to the contractual conditions for
the release.
The
Audio Fidelity Re-Issue as a 24-carat gold CD is also HDCD encoded and sound
engineer Steve Hoffmann has beautifully captured the energy of the recording on
the disc. There are additional We recommend a significantly higher listening volume.
