Charleston: Southern Jurisdiction of the United States, Hardcover. 861 pages. Bound in cloth with gilt emblem to front cover. This is the 2nd printing of the 1st edition. The second printing was done in 1881, the first printing was "entered according to an act of congress" in 1871 though published in 1872. This 2nd printing status is determined from the date in Masonic time line A.M. (Anno Mundi) 5641 on the title page. This second printing is very often mistaken for the first. The difference being the first has 5632 on the title page rather than 5641. 1st editions seem to be quite unobtainable, It appears these 2nd printings are in fact the oldest copies available worldwide.

Presentation inscription dated 1898 is attached inside front cover, from King Solomon Lodge of Perfection No. 3.

Signed and stamped.
