As discovered .. I only wiped surface , I did not scrub / clean or attempt to remove ANY of the patina .. that is for the collector to decide .. handle is without breaks to the wood .. scabbard has rust on tip and is marked GF .. Bayonet is marked 1918 Remington in circle .. other side is the United States Military Logo Symbols with Eagle , bomb , and what looks to be a weapon or crossing swords there is a number 14 above the US and maybe a 9 under the crossing sword symbol scabbard weighs 7.5 oz , bayonet is 1 lb 2 oz
