Gorgeous, I believe from around the 1930s, vintage Art Deco, wardrobe armoire. This is solid wood (I believe walnut), fine quality antique construction. Original hardware, except newer metal hanging rod. This 1930s era wardrobe is in very good condition inside and out. Minor imperfections, nothing major, some patina here and there that comes with its age.

It’s a very unique design with a dimensional bowed front, meaning that the front door is curved. The armoire would be at home in any traditional or contemporary setting and mixes well with Mid Century Modern style. This piece boasts classic art deco styling, with a curved bentwood door, clean lines, with rounded curvilinear details that consumes very little space. This mixes well with brands like CB2, Anthropologie, and West Elm, etc.

On the inside, it’s designed to hang clothes, with 3 shelves on the left hand side. The hanging rod that goes all the way across the width of the armoire. I realized when I started to empty it, the original hanging rod was replaced with a modern metal one (very well done, and sturdy). There is a brass metal guide inside that attaches at the bottom right side of the armoire floor to the door (see picture). I added a magnetic closure to the left hand bottom corner floor of the armoire. There is also a dimensional detail of what looks like beige slightly textured leather (faux) that peeks out from behind the very top of the door. I’ve included close-up photos of this detail. You can barely see it at the very top of the armoire when the door is closed.

The 3 shelves on the left measure 8” x 15.5”. The hanging rod measures 31” across

Armoire measurements on the outside:
Height - 67” tall (measured from the middle of the armoire), 64” tall on the left and right side of the armoire
Depth - 18” (left and right side) 20.25” deep (in the middle of the armoire)
Width - 33” across (left to right side) - although it appears in some photos that the width at the bottom of the wardrobe is narrower than at the top. The wardrobe is a rectangular shape.
