The Life and Times of Arron Burr by J. Parton, Mason Bros. NY, hardcopy, tan cloth on boards, 1860, 13th edition in Good- Condition.  Burr's biography is quite thorough, spanning his birth and parents backgrounds through his marriage, serving in the war, vice presidency and up to and through his death.  A very revealing biographical examination of this famous historic figure.  Oddly, there are three accolades in the front of the book that don't necessarily applaud Burr's life.  Thomas Jefferson said, "A good man in little things, while he is really small in great ones."  The spine is held on with scotch tape at the bottom, the boards barely hold onto the spine, but the binding is sound and though there are quite a few age spots in the front pages, the body of the book's text is ok, sans the light browning overall for a book that's north of 160 years in age.  It is a scarce book, I could only find four from 1858, the initial year of publication and there were none but this copy available for sale.  I believe it would be worth having it rebound, but I priced it fairly, taking its scarcity and condition into consideration.

Good- Condition.  Hardcover, tan cloth over boards, boards are worn on cover ends, spine cloth is shot, boards barely holding onto book, binding is still in good condition, overall, GC-.  Paper is yellowing from age, front papers spotted, body of pages in good condition, binding holding onto pages, very readable, GC.  Dimensions: 8 in x 5.5 in x 2 in.  Weight: 2 lb. Pages: 706 pp.  Author: J. Parton.  Publisher: Mason Brothers NY.  13th edition, 1860.  Biography about Arron Burr, Vice President of the US.
