The Works of Jane Austen
Complete in A stunning Original Cloth Binding
A highly sought after pocket edition set beautifully illustrated by C.E. & H.M. Brock. Comprising of the following; Sense and Sensibility two volumes, Pride and Prejudice two volumes, Mansfield Park two volumes, Emma two volumes, Northanger Abbey and Persuasion. Mainly second editions, 1900. Beautifully bound in pale green cloth with pictorial and gilt titles to the front and spine. The boards are generally in a good condition despite a little lifting of the cloth and light discolouration, most notably to Persuasion. The spines are toned with a little white mark to the second volume of Pride. Top edge gilt, fore-edge un-trimmed. Decorative end-papers. Despite light cracking to the internal hinges the binding is still fairly tight. The contents are generally in a good clean condition with just the occasional light foxing. Beautifully illustrated with full-page colour plates to each volume. A lovely set in overall good condition, ideal as a gift for any fan of Jane Austen.
Would make the perfect gift for a birthday.
