This listing is for a pair of Ohm FRS-15 speakers. The cabinets are in very good condition. However, the cloth grills show signs of age (see close up photos). There are no tears or holes, but they have been around for a while, obviously. The foam lining on the inside of the wire cans is also starting to deteriorate. Both of these are merely cosmetic issues. and they are perfectly usable as they are right now. Above all else, these speakers create a striking sound. I can assure you that you will not long for a subwoofer if you bring these into your home. These speakers were built in Brooklyn, NY, and to this day, Ohm still services and sells parts for all of their speakers, including the legacy products. So for example, if you wanted to purchase new grills for these, or upgrade the drivers, those are all available from Ohm. How many speaker manufacturers can you say that about? They originally retailed for $1400 in the early 1980s. That translates to $4500 in today's dollars, and Ohm's current versions of this speaker (i.e., the most similar models--the Walsh 3000 or 4000) retail for $5400 and $7600, respectively. They recommend an amplifier with 30-250W. These are 6Ω speakers with a frequency response of 32 - 20,000 Hz (+/-3dB) and sensitivity @2.8 Volts of 90 dB.

These are listed for local pickup in Tucson, AZ. However, if you are interested in having them shipped to you, please get in touch. I have the materials and skills to ship these. Check my feedback and see what people have to say about my packing. What I don't have is an ability to get them across the country for a low cost. If you want to estimate the shipping cost, it will be two boxes that are 18 x 18 x 60 @ 65lbs ea. If that is within your reach, please get in touch and I can invoice you for the cost of the speakers and shipping. Please don't submit your payment until we can get that worked out. Feel free to get in touch with any questions that you might have.
