The Legacy by Emerson is not the same as the Emerson Boston Legacy that came after Conn-Selmer bought the Emerson brand. The is a vintage (estimate around 1980) flute, solid silver, French keys, no adjusting screws, very significant hand work in the manufacture. The body was probably made with the same system used to make the Emerson 88B. The keys are different in that there are no adjustment screws like other Emersons. The headjoint plays nicely and is clearly superior to another Emerson headjoint that I have, also solid silver and hand cut but with gold plated lip plate. The serial number on the left hand key plate is 4xx. I have had this flute for a couple of decades and played it a fair bit. The condition is very good with no visible flaws. Ask questions.
