RARE Vtg Art Deco CAMBRIDGE EVERGLADE CLEAR 1933 Pressed Glass Leaf Vase

Size Approx.10.25" high, top opening is 6.25" x 4.5" across, elliptical oval base is 4" x 3"

While clear, this glass does have a fantastic slight luster on the outer surface with some faint stippling to the glass for texture and interest. It's an extremely rare effect, and gorgeous. The company officially called this color variation KRYSTOL. A way to identify this piece as Authentic is to note that the inner surface is smooth and untreated, while the outer surface has had this very labor intensive process.

Glass is an incredible 3/8" thick- very heavy and solid, w/a 1 1/8" solid thick base

This vase was made by Cambridge Glass Co circa about 1933 and is almost impossible to find- ever! Super rare. Pattern on this one is outstanding- vertical pressed leaves filled with amazing minute detailing and texture which makes the vase almost opaque. Highly collectible. Quite heavy and solidly made at the base. Stunning.

The extremely unusual EVERGLADES pattern featured plants/leaves that were found growing in the Florida everglades. Leaves and patterning varied from piece to piece, but usually featured leaves extending up and over the top rim. This type of design means that very few pieces are available today without damage or breakage to the rim. The pressed leaf patterning was made directly in each mold, not cut or etched into the glass, which was also very unusual for the Cambridge Glass Company.

This pattern was made circa 1933-1939, when it was discontinued due to the high cost of labor associated with making this pattern

Excellent condition, PRISTINE no flaws or defects, just beautiful. No nicks chips cracks scratches or repair. No signs of use inside or out.

A magnificent vase for use or display- a showstopper

An outstanding example of Art Deco glass at its very best

Please note the following, dear fellow shopping enthusiasts: I strive to give you the best service possible. I am not a dealer or professional, just a lifelong collector and enthusiast. I only list items that I think are unique and of good quality. I represent my items as accurately and clearly as I can, and believe it is always better for you to have too much information than not enough! Please ask any questions before bidding, I will happily respond. Remember, these are vintage items and will have reasonable signs of age and wear which only adds to their personality, appeal and "funky vintage-ness". They are not in their original boxes unless noted. I do not excessively clean items or remove age patina, as I want to leave that option for the buyer. I will promptly ship your item within 1 business day and post great positive feedback for you once payment is received. Go Green! I try to re-use clean, almost-new shipping boxes when possible.
