Here I have for sale a nicely preserved edition of Henry James' The Ambassadors in hardcover with rate dust jacket published by Harper & Brothers with an introduction by Martin Sampson and John Gerber in 1948. This is a first thus, edition. The book is VG with clean boards and gilt and tight binding. Some edge wear and age foxing to endpapers and pastedown. Also prior owner's signatures on front endpapers. Otherwise pages clean and unmarked with mild foxing. The dust jacket is VG with still bright color. Some chipping to edges and corners, top and bottom of spine. A couple of tiny tears along edges and heavy staining on rear panel. The DJ is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar. Thanks, and see my other listings of Modern Firsts, Everyman's Library, Modern Library and Oxford World's Classics.
