Five of the Dinky Toys die-case models from the late 1960s (or perhaps early 1970s) that relate to the Gerry Anderson TV shows Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Joe 90. All in played with condition – with a couple being worse and a couple being better than the others – but none are disasters. Potential for restoration – but not too bad as they are. The toys here are…. Lady Penelope’s Fab 1. No rocket. The canopy is not cracked and it opens and closes fine. Parker is missing but Lady Penelope is here. Some minor chipping to the extremities but still has around 96%+ of the original paint. The wheels and tyres are all still OK. Spectrum Patrol Car – has some rubbing and is quite grubby along the right side. Could probably be cleaned. The aerial is missing. The tyres and wheels are fine. The windows are not cracked. The decals on the doors are complete. Around 95% of the original paint. (to repeat – the right side needs cleaning). Maximum Security Vehicle – no aerial. The front half still has the silver and black sticker down the middle but the back half is missing. The Spectrum decals on the doors are complete. The one on the front has some chipping. The wheels and tyres are fine. The doors open fine – no warping. The stairs on the left are complete but on the right part is missing. There are no contents inside. Spectrum Pursuit Vehicle – The front flap will not stay down. No rocket. The black aerial on the left is missing. The right one is OK. This one has more noticeable chipping – although it still has around 95% of the paint. Wheels and tyres are fine – as are the tracks at the back. Sam’s Car – has some chipping at the extremities but again – still with around 95% of the paint. No cracking to the windows. Nothing wrong with the pull-pack and go mechanism. The wheels and tyres are fine.
