York City and Long Island, printed more than 47 years
ago.
- This map opens to a generous
38" x
25½" and has great detail on old street and highway alignments, with
cartography
by Rand McNally.

On one side there is a road map of the greater
New York City area, including Staten Island, northeastern New Jersey,
and Westchester and Putnam counties.
- On the other side there's a road map of Long Island and a
street plan of Manhattan between Central
Park and the Battery.

This map was distributed by Texaco in 1973 and is dated
in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 736905-4.
- The map locates dozens of Texaco gas stations,
and there's an ad for Texaco's credit card on the back cover,
with the code 8-72 just under the fold.
