This is a beautiful 1941 edition of "Tales from Storyland." It contains 15 classic stories: The Ugly Duckling, The Bremen Town Musicians, The Fox and the Stork, Why the Bear has a Stumpy Tail, Shingebiss, Five Peas in a Pod, The Marriage of Robin Redbreast and the Wren, The Fox and the Goat, Hansel and Gretel, The Boy who Called "Wolf," The Boy and the North Wind, How the Finch got her Colors, The Pied Piper of Hamelin, Teeny Tiny, and Bill Goat Gruff.

This large book (12 x 100) is four years older than I am, and I'm sure it was read (and re-read) to both of my brothers and me many times. Other than two hardly noticeable tears on the title page, occasional evidence of a slightly dirty finger, and fraying on the edges of the covers, this book is in excellent condition. The binding is firm, which to me means that I'm not afraid to turn the pages. The book is solid, ready to be read to another generation.
