This will be a fun write-up for me to do.  There is so much to say.

( I have 6 of these and this is the second listing of three )

Manual and Metal 35mm SLR Camera shooting for you to experience!

This all metal "lower end  "FT"  F-Mount camera was released in '67, then improved to the FT N series and was sold until 1975.

The later models went into the FT2 FT3 and EL series.

The camera was designed to provide a cheaper-to- buy quality camera than the famous "F" series.

Pro photographers carried these as the backup.

THE NIKKORMATS:

They all use "F" Lenses.
The early cameras like this are "non-ai" as to the lens f-stops.... you teach the camera when mounting the lens.
The is no provision for a motor drive.
The top viewfinder prism does not come off.
There is no swapping the focus screen.

It is made of die-cast aluminum and then chrome plated.
It has a metal shutter.
The camera operates without a battery.
The battery was a 1.35 volt Mercury ... no linger available because they were toxic to landfills.
But you can use a "Wien Cell" battery or get an MR9 Adapter

You can see the shutter speed you have set when looking through the viewfinder.

The light meter on this particular camera works but has not been tested for its accuracy... it is old.

I gave this camera a great f2.8 35mm lens ... a mild wide view lens not often found.

The camera door light seals are flat and intact, and the mirror bumper seal is OK.  There is a replacement kit being sold on eBay for a low price if you ever decide to replace them

This lens sells for over 100.

Me:
I am 82.  I got my 35mm start in 1956.  My first SLR in '60, and you can see the listing of the photo I took of President Nixon when I was the 3rd man at a small newspaper.  I still shoot film and sell some photos of Colorado.  My camera collection is extensive.  See my feedback here.   I will give you ongoing support.
