Forties Retro 1940s Vintage Harry Fishtail Back Trousers in Slate Grey

The fishtail back cut of our new Harry pants is a classic style that was favoured by well-dressed men from the 1930s through to the 1950s. Whether you wear them for a jaunt around town or getting down at the dance hall, the Harry is a lightweight style that’s sure to be comfortable to wear. This listing is for the slate grey colourway.

The fishtail at the back of these 1940s look trousers has a tapered, rounded shape. Designed to be worn with braces, so the exterior waistband of the trousers features buttons on the front and back. There’s also a thin band of non-slip rubber on the inside waist, which helps hold the trousers in place and prevents a shirt from becoming untucked, no matter how much you move.

The Harry pants have side adjusters at the waist to achieve the perfect fit. Double pleats at the front and a zip fly that helps maintain a flat silhouette over the tummy area.

There are two vertical side seam pockets, as well as a horizontal pocket at the back and a watch pocket at the front, both with button-down pointed flaps.

Turn-up hems with a depth of 2” and an approx. circumference of 19".

Measurements:
All inside leg measurements are approximately 31", but please take into account the trouser rise which is lower and adds at least another inch to the length.
Because of the larger trouser rise, they can fit up to 33" depending on where they are worn on the waist.

These trousers are high-waisted, so their cut may mean a tighter fit. We recommend ordering the next size up, or for better accuracy measure your waist’s circumference just below the belly button.

The fabric is a rayon and polyester blend with a lightweight feel and very subtle ridged texture that launders well (80% polyester, 20% rayon).

Our model Tom is 5ft 9 and wears a pair of 32" trousers.
