Octavo hardback, around 4.5 inches by seven tall (c 130 mm x 195 mm if you prefer), is bound in its publisher’s worn but original toffee coloured cloth. Tilting is all original gilt.

First edition published by Martin Secker, Number Five John Street, Adelphi, London, 1932. Provenance: from faint marking to flyleaf / ffep in pencil; free from further permanent inscription and markings to the text.

Although interior condition is overall good, because this original letterpress book is old, it does display minor signs of use and age — such as the usual minor markings and discolouration to old paper — consistent with a printed object of this vintage. All 246 pp main text are complete and otherwise correct.
