I don't know the exact year this gorgeous, handmade skirt was made, but it was included in a box with a handmade coverlet from the 1890s, made by my great, great grandmother in Patrick County Virginia.  I would love to keep it, but I am far too short to wear it and can't bring myself to alter it.  It is in incredible condition; no holes, tears, or odd odors.   Buttons on left side near waist.  Buttons and pleats at the bottom on the left side.  Waist 13.5" measured laying flat, straight across.   Length 39".  The photos do not do it justice.  Let me know if you would like additional photos.
