This rare 1836 first edition book, "Gems of Beauty", written by The Countess of Blessington, is a true treasure. It features beautiful “fanciful” illustrations by T. E. Parris and covers the subject of fashion with poetic descriptions of gems The book was published by Longman, Rees, Orme, Brown, Green, and Longman in London and is bound in cloth.

The book is in good sturdy condition but there are marks of foxing throughout. Also a small hole on front board near spine. The spine is light faded-shown in photos. It is rare and unique and the price offered reflects its condition.
