Vintage Plastic Wind Up “El Alegre Vagabundo” (Chaplin) wt
Cane, Roman, Spain, VGiB
A vintage plastic clockwork Charlie Chaplin figure in his
role of “El Alegre Vagabundo” (The Merry tramp) dressed
in his black jacket, grey trousers and black bowler hat,
holding 2 cases in and under one arm and a cane in
the other hand, made in Spain by the Roman Co.
probably 1960’s or 70's, with original box.
The toy is in very good working condition with some
playwear and a small hole in the back of the brown
suitcase. The clockwork motor works well, making
Charlie move his legs as if walking, while the cane
spins around and hat moves. A key is supplied
(unsure if original). It measures 4 inches wide by
2.5 deep and 6.5 inches tall and is marked on the
side of the brown case with “Made in Spain” and
“Roman Jugettes” on a label. Comes with a very
good original box with some wear and creases,
also fully marked and nicely illustrated.

Every item I send will be carefully packed and proof of postage will be kept. In the unlikely event you need to claim for lost or damaged goods, please contact me before leaving feedback on eBay - I will always try to resolve the issue to your satisfaction. I will dispatch your goods, whenever possible, within 1 working day of your payment being received and whenever possible, I will always combine postage to save you money.
