NELSON NED

(Both Songs Sung In Spanish)

SIDE A:     TE AMO, I LOVE YOU, TE VOGLIO BENE

SIDE B:     ADIOS MARIQUITA LINDA

MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original Copacabana Records very first Stereo press released by Cobacabana Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1977 by Quatro Records, licensed from SOM Indústria E Comércio S.A. (SOM Records), Brazil, catalog number QS-148, with hand etched matrix numbers QS-148-A MSMC in Side A and QS-148-B MSM-C in Side B, with traditional white (not really “white”)/black Copacabana Records labels of the period, with pink “Copacabana” logo of the period, with the yellow sun and the “C” surrounding the spindle hole and solid center. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the exact day of pressing, “26-7-77” (July 26th of 1977). Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

The first to say about this single by legendary Brazilian singer Nelson Ned, who was the first Latin singer who sold 1 million records in USA, is that both songs in this single are sung in Spanish and this single, as far as I know, was ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE with song “Adios Mariquita Linda” (literal “Goodbye Cute Ladybug” in English) in Side B. Song titles are written in original language the Side A (which includes “I Love You” in Spanish, English and Italian) and in Spanish only the Side B, with full credits for songwriters and additional information about licenses and publishers. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE CHILEAN PRESS of this classic single by Nelson Ned, SUNG IN SPANISH and ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE, a record almost never seen and maybe auctioned here in eBay by the very first time. A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Latin Soul/Pop and especially for all fans, lovers and collectors of Nelson Ned and Brazilian Bolero music of the ‘70’s!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in nice EX or EX+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some scuffs, soft light hairlines and some small light scratches, hard to see at first sight, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with only some spindle hole wear, some faint discoloration and a factory imperfection in Side B (it looks like black spots close to the letter “A” at left side of the song title). The sound is in strong EX or even EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only some occasional and mostly barely audible soft crackles here and there, more evident in the last seconds of the songs, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a great record by Nelson Ned, in this MEGARARE and UNIQUE CHILEAN PRESS, with both songs sung in Spanish and ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE, maybe not for the strictest Minty minds and audiophiles, but for sure with a nice glossy look, almost immaculate labels and great sound quality after about 47 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone and should satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean single!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
