READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Please don’t bid if this is a problem for you.

So with that said…

Beatles LP 1968 White Album First Apple Pressing 7 Errors, Numbered Cover, EX!

A 0485070

One of the best copies I’ve seen of this scarce album.  Certainly not a NM record, but for whatever reason, copies of the 7 errors variation tend to be scratched all over, probably because these were the first copies out there.  This one has 90% to 95% original shine.

Vinyl--- EX/VG+. EX/EX.  Sides all have not more than just the lightest of lines, and not many of them.  Side 2 has some very light, very short scuffs which can’t be felt with the fingertip.

Plates--- J46/J45. J47/J44.  Machine-stamped triangle with the letters, “IAM” inside it makes this copy pressed by Scranton.

Cover--- VG.  There’s a lot to be desired, but it still presents well.  Taped seams, light staining on front and back.  Light dirtwear on front and back.  Gatefold has a center seam split about one inch, as well as foxing inside the gatefold.

Poster--- VG+.  Original 1968 poster has full gloss, as opposed to the 1970 semi-gloss and the 1975 flat, no gloss.  Has the “Printed in U.S.A.” circle in the bottom left corner without the 1970 addition, “Apple Records, Inc.”

Light to moderate amount of finger divots, light foxing throughout.  Light yellowing.  No pinholes.  NO SPLIT SEAMS OR INTERSECTIONS.

Photos--- VG+ all four.  Decidedly in better condition than the poster which is very nice, but still just this side of Excellent, due to a little more yellowing.  **John’s photo is the only one with pinholes in the corners.

Labels--- EX/EX.  EX/EX.  With the exceptions of a few light spindle marks on each label, they all look bright, sharp and clean!

Apple Inner Sleeves--- VG+.  Generic white inner sleeves with no die-cut hole for the labels to show.  Slight yellowing, wrinkling at the bottoms from improper insertions at the factory.  NO SPLIT SEAMS ON EITHER SLEEVE.

Generic inner sleeves will be provided, so as not to damage your original Apple inner sleeves en route.

Phenomenal idea for a Christmas gift for your Beatles collector this year!

**If you replace the cover, you will have your keeper.  The vinyl is definitely keeper status!

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

Note:  All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.

CAUTION!  There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids.  A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.

Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
