Moskvich-412 - Soviet and Russian rear-wheel drive car of the II group of small class, produced from October 1967 to December 1975 in Moscow at the plant MZMA, later renamed the AZLK, and from 1967 to April 1998 at the car factory in Izhevsk. It was a further modernization of the Moskvich-408 model and for many years was issued with it in parallel.

The design of the exterior and interior of Moskvich was redesigned, with the update mostly of a cosmetic nature, and it was also designed to pull the car up to the level of passive safety standards adopted by the UNECE, necessary for further exports to developed countries, which was confirmed by certification crash tests in France [source not specified 348 days].

In the first years of production, most of the M-412 was exported. The car was collected in the NRB (under the brand Rila) and Belgium (under the brand Scaldia). An important role in promoting the world market was played by the glory won by the Muscovites in the international rally at the turn of the sixties and seventies. Inside the country was offered until the mid-1990s, and a number of modifications on its basis - and until the early 2000s.
