Vintage B&L Ray Ban Bausch & Lomb Ambermatic Full Mirror 58mm Aviator w/Case

Full mirror Ambermatic, pre etched lenses.

NOTE: There is a large area around the edge of each lens nearest to the nose bridge and along the bottom of the lens that is a slightly different color from the rest of the lens. This is common with early Ambermatic lenses. Does not affect use or lens changing colors, just slightly more yellow in color than the rest of the lens.

Lenses are in good condition with a lot of light scratches, vertical scuffs to the mirror near the middle of each lens, and specks. Backside of each lens has some water spots that won't clean off. When I wear these glasses. a few small defects on each lens are in my line of sight, but not a major nuisance to me. Defects are slightly less noticeable when lenses are fully darkened. I do not know how these defects will affect your vision.

Frame is in good condition with a lot of scratches and scuffs from use and storage. Top and bottom of frame front is heavily scuffed, but not worn through the finish. 

Temple plastic has shrunk from age. When this happens, the plastic usually becomes brittle (very common). Currently they are not brittle, and I have tried twisting the ends to make sure they would not break, and they did not. Eventually they will, but currently they are solid and wearable.

Nose pads are quite worn, faded, and dirty.

Case is in good condition, paint on button clasp is completely worn off. Exterior is faded. Inside is broken on both sides.

Frame may need to be adjusted to fit the buyer's face.
