Beckford's Gothic novel, Vathek, an Arabian tale, was originally written in French when the author was 21. It is the story of Caliph Vathek, whose eye can kill at a glance, who makes a pact with the Devil, Eblis.

SIZE (all approx): 18x12x1cm, 272 pages, 250g before packing.

CONDITION: This secondhand book is in very good condition with a little shelf-wear to the cover boards and sun-bleaching to the spine which is slightly rolled - there is no dust jacket. There are two small names and a date written on the front endpaper visible in picture two.  Please refer to the pictures
