Antique Art Nouveau Cobalt Blue & Heavily Encrusted Gold Creamer and Sugar Bowl, with Top. The Sugar Bowl has two handles and the Creamer has one. Both the Creamer and Sugar Bowl rest on three legs. The pieces are unmarked, but appear to be Nippon or its predecessor brand, Moriage. The gold embellishments were extravagantly applied, covering the handles and the legs, as well as the border, were hand painted and contain raised dots or beads, as well 3D effects on the flowers and ivy. Both pieces are in excellent, antique condition, with no chips or cracks and minimal gold loss.

It is my understanding that it was not uncommon, prior to the introduction of U.S. laws requiring identification in the 1920s, for pieces to be unmarked.

Stunning Antique Set with minimal wear.
