Retro collectors GT STS-1 1996 in Great Condition. Early example of a 1st generation STS-1 made in October 1996. No cracks, some small marks on the thermoplastic and odd marks on the aluminium sections (I have tried to show as much as possible in the photos). This particular frame has a rare risse shock and trunnion, which had to be shipped over from the US. All of the rear bearings have been swapped out for the much improved BETD bearings, which makes for a much smoother movement than the original bearings. The shock bolts have been swapped out titanium bolts but the original steel bots will be included in the sale.

Frame is stamped 18 on BB. It measures 18 inches from the centre of the bottom bracket to the top apex of the top tube where it meets the seat tube.

This is a fantastic example of a first generation GT STS-1 with a rare Risse air shock, in fact I had to ship the trunnion from America. The decals are accurate to the frame and year. Last year a cracked 1998 sts sold on eBay for just over  £1000. This is a far better example and with no cracks, so I feel that it is fairly priced at £1195 given it's history and condition.

The distance between the rear drop outs is 130mm with no rear hub fitted, but they are designed to flex for the 135mm hub to fit. I have used the frame with 135mm hubs with no issues right up until disassembling and boxing it up for sale.
