Recently found in a loft clearance, a boxed Thorens TD 316 looks like this has never been used as the card inserts are still present and there isn’t any visible use related wear however I can’t confirm this as I’m not the owner from new, the red packets were open and there wasn’t any tape on the other smaller boxes. Also the top polystyrene protector had been ripped apart as pictured and box was left open in the loft so the parts inside had a layer of dust (which I’ve removed the best I can) from the amount of dust I believe that this was up in this loft for a long time. The Loft was dry

So no signs of damp or smell of damp.

I have plugged in the unit and it works perfectly on both speeds. However I’ve not fully set it up.

The belt feels sturdy and has no signs of deterioration.

The plug has slightly discoloured on one side as pictured, I believe this is just aged related.

The Ortofon X1 - MC pick up cartridge looks in great condition, in original box with all paperwork.

I’ve pictured all the contents as they have come out the box, the box has obvious signs of wear and tear as to be expected with an item stored away in a loft for many years.

A very rare turntable especially to find in this condition.
