Corner creases on back cover and rubbing along edges of spine. Faint bookstore stamp on front fly leaf. This is a nice original copy of a mid-century crime novel that was derived from the real-life murder case of Grace Brown in upstate New York. Wonderfully ominous cover art is by pulp painter Barye Phillips.
